As the temperature drops, your skin quietly changes with it. Here is our seasonal ritual for restoring softness, radiance and calm.
There is a particular kind of stillness to winter — a slowness we welcome in the studio, but a shift the skin does not always take to gracefully. Cooler air, indoor heating and the natural pull toward richer foods can leave the complexion looking dull, feeling tight, and behaving in unexpected ways.
Begin with barrier repair
Before layering serums or reaching for a new treatment, spend two weeks focused entirely on the barrier. A gentle cream cleanser, a hydrating essence, and a ceramide-rich moisturiser are enough. Simplicity, in this season, is the greatest kindness.
Beautiful skin in winter is quiet skin — nourished, balanced, and never asked to do too much at once.
Introduce actives slowly
Once the skin feels settled, you may return to your retinoids, exfoliating acids or vitamin C. Alternate evenings rather than layering nightly, and always finish with an occlusive to lock in moisture while you sleep.
- Cleanse with something cream-based, morning and night.
- Mist before your moisturiser to layer hydration onto damp skin.
- Book a monthly facial for professional support through the season.
If you would like a tailored winter plan, our team is always available for a complimentary skin consultation in-studio.
